I applied during the March 5-15, 2013 window and the application manager "Assessments" section notes that while the assessment questionnaire was found complete on 3/12/13, the "External Assessment" has a due date of 4/24/15, i.e. over two years later. My "Application processing status" is also complete as of 3/12/13, which I guess just means that I got all of the paperwork in. Will the "External Assessment" really be years in duration? That doesn't seem to track the timelines of prior recruitment processes. I'm not sure this post should really be in this thread, because this whole thread is pretty obsolete with the new process. We've all got that 2015 date on our records, too, no one knows for sure what it means, but it DOESN'T mean that setting the register will take that long.... I'd just ignore that date for the time being.

Thank you both. I took a look over there after I posted here and I guess a number of people have "gotten the call." I checked both my email and my application manager sites and nothing yet. I don't know if they look at the applications in the order that they were filed and noted as complete, but I didn't get the first part in until the 12th and last parts in until March 14. Pretty small window.

Based upon the board discussion, there is no method to their madness with responses. Not location, when you applied, experience, vet status, location of choice etc. It's a crap shoot we think!

Question - I automatically delete spam. My status changed from pending HR review. Is there anyone to contact to find out if I inadvertently deleted an invite to the next phase? Thanks.

Question - I automatically delete spam. My status changed from pending HR review. Is there anyone to contact to find out if I inadvertently deleted an invite to the next phase? Thanks. ALJApplication@opm.gov is the email some have had success with. I however emailed yesterday AM and only received an automated response. Good Luck!!

I have a couple of questions about the Cert process.
1. If a location has multiple openings that they are hiring for how many people are interviewed for that position? Top 3 or top 3 times of positions? ex. City A has 5 vacancies how many people will be called?
2. If multiple locations are being hired for at the same time and a person is in the top 3 for each will they take up both spots? ex. ALJX is in the top 3 for City A & City B. Will there be 6 people called or 5?
Sorry for the questions but now that I am onto the next phase I am trying to find something to stress over.

The timeline at the top indicates that Medicare initiated a cert very shortly after SSA each time there was a previous registry. Does anybody have any idea whether that is likely to be true this time?

Baglady, I think the last WD/LBMT/SI dates for 2013 are going to be 10/20-10/21.

Gaidan, silly question I know, but why stress? The only control you have is GAL, performance on the testing & SSA interview & whom you chose for your references. As to the latter, it is good to talk to them as to what might not be seen as damaging, but in fact is ( there is a thread on this-at least one...).

Private I am not sure to which question of mine you are responding? My last question in this thread was whether anyone thought Medicare would open a cert around the time SSA opened theirs. I am still very curious about that. Based on the timeline above it would appear that Medicare hasn't had a cert in quite some time. That could result in a relatively big hire from them. My questions before that in the thread were about the rule of 3s and being 3 struck. These was answered a while back. I hope I am not giving the impression that I am stressing (at least right now). I am not stressing at all at this point. I have done all I can do and now I am just waiting to see what my NOR is.

Yes, they were interviewing the same time SSA was in 2010. But hiring a few judges for positions in the very few cities in which they have offfces has very little impact on the overall register. Unless you have a very high score and a GAL that includes those cities, you will never see yourself on a Medicare cert. So, while they might run simultaneously again, I don't see OMHA jumping in to get ahead of an SSA hire just for the reason of beating them to the punch.

Not what I was hoping to here but it clears something up for me. I wasn't really hoping that "I" could go to OMHA as much as hoping that more ALJs would get hired early. The more the better for all of us.
