I guess it was wishful thinking we’d see some movement this week. I know my interviewers said that there was AJ training taking place sometime in August and they wanted everyone hired before then.

Fedguy...did they mention the dates of the training in August? I wondered why they inquired as to whether I'd be available within a month if selected.

No mention of dates, just generally August.

Has anyone interviewed for the Washington DC location, or heard if anyone has yet?

So Charlotte office for legalbeagle I assume. My understanding is the Charlotte District has a position in Charlotte and one in Raleigh.
Re experience, I’ve practiced employment law for 15+ years, although not federal sector.

I thought it was: Birmingham, Alabama (1) Washington DC, District of Columbia (5) Baltimore, Maryland (1) New York, New York (2) Charlotte, North Carolina (1) for this specific posting? Edit: here’s the posting: www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/498346400/

We may want to add "Indianapolis, Indiana (2)" to the list.
The announcement for the two "attorney advisor" vacancies in Indianapolis was posted the same day as the announcement you mention. www.usajobs.gov/GetJob/ViewDetails/498445300/
I could be wrong, but, I bet that Indianapolis's appearance in a separate announcement resulted from a clerical error. The announcement is virtually the same.

Yep looks like I missed that announcement, probably due to my USAJobs preferences. Looks like the EEOC wants to fill a bunch of spots.

Well, today officially marks two weeks since my interview and no word. I’ve concluded one of three things: (1) the seemingly urgent rush to fill these positions was overstated; (2) at least some “first choice” offers are out and various field offices are waiting for a yes or no from those candidates; or (3) a snail mail ding is soon to be on its way.
Once upon a time there were people posting in this thread that either are current AJs or worked as AJs before. To those few: if you can, would you shed some light on what sort of timeline the hiring process usually takes?

How much Eeoc and labor background do all of u in the running have? This is job I’m interested in but my experience may be too limited. And best of luck! Looks to me like those in the running have some type of experience whether it's EEOC, DOJ defense, plaintiff's, or similar. May not be much but in my case virtually none got the the cone of silence.

Hi - I recently interviewed in the Birmingham District Office. Did anyone else interview in Birmingham?

Just received this from a board member:
"Hi, Pixie. I wanted to share this info with the board but remain anonymous. I was interviewed for an EEOC AJ position in New York last week. No word back yet but they did say that they were looking to hire rather quickly with an end-of-July start date and AJ training in late August.
Thank you"

This is exactly what they told me. I’m guessing all the offices will want to get new AJs into that August training. NYC was hiring for two positions, so fingers fceossed for you too, anonymous board member!

Fedguys question may have gotten a bit buried...are any current or former AJs willing to share their hiring process, including approximate timelines? Thanks in advance!
