I know of GSs moving over to the SAA slots. So discouraging for those stuck at 12. Guess I should start looking for a side hustle. I always thought it would be fun to drive an ice cream truck! Don't give up. I personally know of at least one AA who got an offer recently... |

Today, the Acting Deputy Commissioner Joe Lytle informed NTEU that the Agency plans to offer 38 permanent SAA positions. This is in addition to the recent 36 positions posted and filled. One position will be open in each of the following offices (27 NTEU offices, 11 AFGE offices). If interested in applying, please set an alert in USAJobs.gov so that you will receive notice when the job announcements post. We also encourage you to routinely check USAJobs.gov in case an alert is not sent.

2 hour commute has always been the standard in the past. As stated before, it would be so egregious for a hearing office management team to hire an AA from outside the office to be an SAA. I would be so shocked if that happened in my office. You would have so much animosity from your existing writers it wouldn't even be worth it.

If you are asking about the detail to DDS, I haven’t heard anything yet. Yes I know someone doing that training now. I think the training right now is for AAs and the AA detail. Not certain SAAs have been notified yet. |

Any update on the DHO detail to DDS for GS-13 attorneys? I had heard that selections were to be in place and training conducted next week, though I can’t say how reliable that information is.
