I just missed a call from SSA and the voicemail was scrambled. Tried to call back at the number received and it didn’t work. Any advice?

I just got “the call!” Here comes the Judge!!!

The call came from a number ID as SSA govt out of Tucson AZ at 11:34 Central time.

I got the call!!!!

FYI my call went to voicemail and the phone number for the voicemail was “unknown” (private). There was a call back number in the voicemail message itself with a 401 area code.

Congratulations to the new judges. Once the heart palpitations stop and you've called your mom you need to think about contacting your new office.

Believe it or not if you don't tell them you're coming they may not know until you show up. There was more notice to receiving offices last time but not a lot more. Letting your new HOCALJ know they're getting a judge and your HOD know they need to empty out an office sooner than later will be a mark in your favor.

Thanks for responding! No name. And they called again while I was in a hearing. I’m going back to court in an hour. I hope they call again before that. Does anyone have contact information that I can use?

We finally connected. And I got an offer!!

After getting an NOR on the now defunct register, participating in the 2019 hiring freeze, not getting an interview in 2022 I got the call.

Thank you so much for the comradery and support of this board. I know I would not have gotten the call without the participation of those here.

Start date is July 31. 

And Mrs. Fowlfinder is excited, along with the full range of emotions that come with major life changes.

As usual, I agree with @gaidin.  If you are local, contact the HOCALJ and ask to come visit the office (I know you're busy,), or at least chat with the HOCALJ if a visit won't work.  There is a mandatory procedure for making offices available by seniority, but ask to look at what they expect to be vacant.  You might be surprised (as I was twice), that the office that no one wants is pretty nice. 

Congratulations to everyone who got the call!  To those who didn't, I would just say some people got calls today who have been trying for a long time.  Don't give up.
