Has anyone received the official offer email yet? I haven’t yet and was wondering the same.

Looks like fowifinder was interviewed in 2022. Congrats, fowlfinder, on seeing your patience rewarded! And congratulations to all who have received or will receive the call! I don’t think so. He said “not getting an interview in 2022.” He’s a 2023 interviewee. The polls show no hires from 2022. I was not interviewed in 2022. (2015, 2019, 2023, yes. 2022 no.)

I'm a 2023 interviewee that had an extremely limited GAL. One city I didn't expect would be hiring, but the other was expected to gain a small handful of ALJs (given my insider knowledge). Yet, neither city is listed as having any offers. 2023 interviewee here. The cities on my GAL are also not represented in the current offers.

Has anyone received the official offer email yet? I haven’t yet and was wondering the same. I have not. Anyone want to create a group PM for the 2023 hires? I would but currently only have access to a cell phone (due to travel- which makes things difficult).

19 votes on the offers poll so far. I know of one more that's not accounted for in the voting. Given that the board usually captures about 50 to 60 percent of the offers it's looking consistent with our earlier WAG of 30-40 hires this go around. Things may change but I didn't see anyone reporting they got a call today.

Congratulations to all new hires! If you have any questions, feel free to PM me as I just went through this process last year. (And buckle up for all that comes your way within the next year!)

These small hires really come at a cost for the agency and its employees- not only in the extraordinary time it takes to wade through all the applicant’s applications and resumes and interviews, but unseen costs as well.
Those unseen costs are the inevitable crushing of the souls of dedicated agency attorneys who have dedicated their careers to supporting the agency, ALJs and the overall mission. Each time they’re passed over for someone not near as qualified, their soul dies a little more each time. And before you say everyone is qualified pause a moment. We all know ALJs with zero experience selected that have to be propped up by these same agency attorneys TPTB overlook at each roll of the ALJ wave of hiring. At some point, they just quit, check out and fade into the massive heap of agency employees that agree wholeheartedly when SSA is ranked amongst the lowest of all agencies as the best place to work.

I just got the email too. Here's the weird thing. The initial phone call told me one location in my GAL but not my preferred location. Ok. I'll roll with it. Went to the city, looked around, found the office, even put in an application at an apartment near the office.
Got the official email. My duty station is my hometown preferred location! Don't know what happened there. Maybe the person doing the calls got mixed up. But the official word is I'm staying home!
