Reading the prior threads from 2013 regarding the application status change (thanks to JudgeRatty for the very helpful links), I noted that it seem to be of interest at that time whether those with a status change were insiders and 5 or 10 point Veterans. For or the record, I am an outsider and non-veteran, should that information be of interest to anyone out in Board-world. Also, in my garage fridge, beer is relegated to the crisper drawers (one drawer of Corona and the other drawer of Labatt's), which I keep for beer-drinking friends and family. Top shelf is where you will find Red's Green Apple Ale, Twisted Tea, and Mike's Black Cherry Hard Lemonade. A medicinal bottle of Amaretto has earned permanent residence on top of the bar in the family room. However, my preferred drink of choice is actually decaf unsweetened iced tea with lots of lemon slices and plenty of ice.

Hopefully very good news for you Pumpkin. In case people from this group don't get this status change email - don't worry too much. Some of us had our application materials eaten by the dog as it were when application manager was updated or shutdown or somesuch and cannot access application manager details any longer so cannot check for such threads of hope. Seems there is definite movement on the Aug/Sept test taker front. Thanks for letting us know. As someone who can't get into application manager anymore for ALJ exam stuff, I will just await an email with actual score info (fingers crossed) or the "see details" equivalent (ugh). Keepsake - this is how I am able to access Application Manager from USAJOBS - my humble apologies if you if you've already tried this and it still fails to get you to the right place. i log onto www.usajobs.gov, and at the first screen after logging in, I select "Application Status" which is the last box in the menu choices listed vertically down the the left-hand side of the screen... that takes me to another page which shows the ALJ job posting information. At the "status" level, I am able to click on a hyperlinked "more information"... that automatically redirects me to the Application Manager site. At this point I click "Accept" to accept the terms and conditions... that brings up a screen which displays, at the top left hand side of the screen, ""Application Package Status: Complete." Keeping my fingers crossed that this might resurrect your Application Manager access.

Does it say at the top of the page: APPLICATION PACKAGE STATUS: COMPLETE After being gone all day without access to USAJOBS, the first thing I did when I arrived home just now is log back on. I am happy to report that, indeed, at the top left of the Application Manager screen it says, "APPLICATION STATUS: COMPLETE." Thanks, gary! A special thank you to JudgeRatty for also being awake at 3:00am to respond to my post! I hope you were not up writing opinions... Ha! No just woke up to thunder and freaked out dogs and could not get back to sleep right away.

Thanks Pumpkin - unfortunately - back in the original application period something happened to application mngr so that if you applied for the ALJ job in a certain way (forget which now but it was a topic of discussion at the time) when they upgraded/pulled the plug on application mngr, you lost access to that application and thus your access to your application materials.
As I recall some agency personnel, like at ssa I believe, were given a heads up about this via email, but not everyone got this notice. My agency did not.
Not a big deal ultimately. Just means I no longer receive the somewhat cryptic status update emails and have to await the more straightforward result emails - like you may take the online portion, you may go to DC for testing, and hopefully the all important your score is xx.
Strangely, I can access application "status" for other jobs I applied for in usajobs like you describe both for jobs before and after the ALJ application, but not this one.
Sorry for the details about a situation that likely on impacts a small number, but just don't want people to worry unnecessarily (I hope) if you're in the same boat and haven't got this latest email re status complete. I still get all the substantive notifications and will surely be told the results one way or the other when the time comes.

Yep, christina - following Drake's advice, I dance like no one is watching. I've got all the Hotline Bling moves down pat.

well i only dance when im home alone. The dog loves it and the cats give me the cat WT... stare, but hey, that's what cats do best. They are even more annoyed when i sing. but after a little corona, who knows what i might do??? the kids, when younger, joined in(well not for Coronas, i mean the singing and dancing part) but they are one reason i have to do this home alone now. i and a few other moms did some dancing at a county fair once and we are lucky our teenagers did not kill us on the spot or at least seek immediate emancipation orders

It's really not too bad. No angst of not knowing status. Final results however are a different story.

keepsake, you and I are in the same boat. My attitude is the same as yours. When people in our testing phase start getting notifications, then I'll be watching my email more closely. I almost missed the email telling me about moving onto the next phase. It got filtered into my spam folder, and the sender and subject line were the sort that looked like spam from the state bar association. If I hadn't been on vacation and used my downtime to go through the spam more carefully, I would have missed it. Who would've been looking for email about a job I applied for, and was rejected for, so long ago?
I can see that the last update to my application was the day I applied for the job, and that I am supposed to be notified by email of any change to my status. That's it.

I'm not in this earlier tested group, but I am hopeful that you all receive your NORs soon too, as it means that they are that much closer to grading and finalizing NORs for the Oct-Dec group.

There was a sign posted on the testing room door at OPM which said that room was reserved for ALJ testing through Jan 2016.

I did a search, didn't come up with anything...is there an 'October 2015 - January 2016 testing' thread, by chance?

There was a discussion about this before. For the larger group testing no January dates were offered. We speculated that they might have Jan dates available for vets or others who needed accommodation past the Oct-Dec timeframe. We also speculated they may have reserved the room through Jan as a contingency in case of a shutdown or other delays effected the schedule. No one really knows why it said Jan, we only know that the larger group that self scheduled Jan dates were not an option.

Right, I did note the lack of January dates, though to be honest I scheduled mine as early as was practicable in October. The reason I asked was because I didn't want to hijack this thread if there was another thread dedicated to the testing group I am in.

Hello All:
Just received a wonderful email with a NOR that was positive!!!! For reference of others keeping track, I tested in DC during the first week of September. I'm an outsider and no vet preference. For those with experience greater than mine, what is considered a higher score, lower score, etc.? Is it all relative to your fellow applicants?
Now, back to waiting...
