Just got my NOR, and from what I glean from this site, I guess I got lucky, but all it does is get me to the next round. Good luck to all.

Just got my notice from OPM - passed with a score of 86. Don't know if that's good, but probably puts me in the running. For those that don't make it, take heart. I failed WD last time and worked on it this time, so I must have done alright. What is a good score? Good luck to all. That's good.

That is a very good score. It puts you in the range that if you have DC on your GAL and another agency is looking from the register, you might have a chance. I was picked up by a non-SSA agency with a score in that range.

This first group of testers were early September, and NORs are rolling in, approximately two months later. So I will throw in my WAG that the second group will also start seeing NORs in about two months, so mid-February? That is assuming the scoring is done after our group is completed and not on a rolling basis wherein it would be early December when they start rolling in. Just keep swimming, just keep swimming!

that is my WAG too and to those with scores, woohoo.
And to repeat what others have said, 86 is a great score.

I heard that once you are on the register, you can get requests for interviews in a couple of months. One of my friends had 2 interviews requests at the same time, one from SSA and another from another agency, and he was eventually hired by the other agency. He will make an excellent judge.

you can cut cities once certs start coming out. i believe once you cut a city, it is cut for duration of register unless there is refresh.
Conventional wisdom is to have a broad GAL though so cut carefully,

Congratulations to all who got NORs. Scores do not matter, but they do. Outstanding work by OPM in getting this done before Certs were issued by ODAR for the January class. New Register members, expect a call for interviews in the next couple of weeks. Good luck!

I got my NOR on July 8th, call to schedule interview with SSA on July 22nd (for July 29th), got my cert email on July 27th and interviewed on July 29th. It can happen rapidly.

Where was your interview with SSA? All interviews with SSA will be in Falls Church, VA. SSA picks up the travel expenses.

That score puts you in good range for other agencies as well as SSA. Good luck!

It's eye opening that you didn't pass the first time and then ended up with such a high score the second round. Do you really think you performed at such a drastically diff level 2nd time around? I'm not questioning your success, I just wonder if this is an example of just how subjective the scoring of the WD might in fact be. Congrats again on staying the course and knocking it out of the park.
