Auroraborealis, there have been others who did considerably better the second time around. not even going to offer too many comments as to why that might be but it's been known to happen.
i can say for myself that if it does not work this time around, some of the challenges with the testing you and i just did is that neither of us knew fully what to expect. For me and i suspect many others, now that i know what to expect, i will go in with more confidence if i need to retest/ just going through this testing alone has me better prepared for future testing.

Just got my notice from OPM - passed with a score of 86. Don't know if that's good, but probably puts me in the running. For those that don't make it, take heart. I failed WD last time and worked on it this time, so I must have done alright. What is a good score? Good luck to all. That's a very good score. Congratulations!

Yes, the score is so misleading because a mid "B" is incredible, a mid "C is excellent, and a "D" can still keep you in hiring range. Welcome to the bizzaro world of the Register.

It's eye opening that you didn't pass the first time and then ended up with such a high score the second round. Do you really think you performed at such a drastically diff level 2nd time around? I'm not questioning your success, I just wonder if this is an example of just how subjective the scoring of the WD might in fact be. Congrats again on staying the course and knocking it out of the park. If his scores were high last time in all phases prior to the WD, and he also did well on the SI the second time, it could very well happen that his score could end up that high. We've never had this situation, with the new testing process, where a large number of people repeat that last stage of DC testing. Before, when we saw big increases, it was from one register to another. My score (from the last register), went up several points, but not as dramatically as I might have hoped or as others had experienced.

The people getting scores now were not in the lower scoring subgroup on the 2013 online testing. They are people who should have gone through to DC in 2013 but for one reason or another through OPM errors did not. Or they are preference eligibles. Thus as a group they are at least roughly similar to the population that tested in DC in 2013. I would therefore expect to see a similar score distribution, including some outstanding scores.

Hopefully very good news for you Pumpkin. In case people from this group don't get this status change email - don't worry too much. Some of us had our application materials eaten by the dog as it were when application manager was updated or shutdown or somesuch and cannot access application manager details any longer so cannot check for such threads of hope. Seems there is definite movement on the Aug/Sept test taker front. Thanks for letting us know. As someone who can't get into application manager anymore for ALJ exam stuff, I will just await an email with actual score info (fingers crossed) or the "see details" equivalent (ugh). Keepsake - this is how I am able to access Application Manager from USAJOBS - my humble apologies if you if you've already tried this and it still fails to get you to the right place. i log onto www.usajobs.gov, and at the first screen after logging in, I select "Application Status" which is the last box in the menu choices listed vertically down the the left-hand side of the screen... that takes me to another page which shows the ALJ job posting information. At the "status" level, I am able to click on a hyperlinked "more information"... that automatically redirects me to the Application Manager site. At this point I click "Accept" to accept the terms and conditions... that brings up a screen which displays, at the top left hand side of the screen, ""Application Package Status: Complete." Keeping my fingers crossed that this might resurrect your Application Manager access. Ok, this is a little concerning to me. For the last few days when I try to check my status I cannot access the "Application Status" page. Although I've been able to do so in the recent past, meaning pre-doc testing. Now, after I click on the application status tab, up pops "loading......." And nothing more, regardless of how long you wait. But I see others here are not having this problem. Is anyone else experiencing this? I am hoping it is not the equivalent to "See details tab." Still a little sensitive on that one!

Sorry, cafeta, I just logged onto USAJOBS and went through to Application Manager as usual (where the three e-mails I received with my NOR are now posted as letters, btw). I would echo the advice I receive from my IT folks at work when I encounter problems getting a website to load - first, clear all your cookies and junk from your web browser (tools - internet options - delete browsing history, and make sure delete on exit is checked, if you're using IE), close the browser, re-open the browser and try again. If that doesn't work, I would try the ever-popular IT fix-all suggestion of rebooting your computer. I apologize if you've already tried these methods and are still having problems getting the application status to load successfully.

I know this is discouraging news but I agree with Pumpkin that you should work the IT route. I'm hoping along with you that that's all it is, and I'm continuing to wish the best for you!

CCleaner works well for clearing all browsers. FYI If you're old school, you could go with a ball peen hammer.

Seriously, if you haven't already done so, you might try your phone (if it's a smartphone). Or another computer if you have access to one.

I have been trying on my iPad, as always, but will try now on my PC. I am a little tech savvy, but not at all with Apple products, so the ball peen approach has been considered!

Yep, apparently it's the iPad, with my PC I went straight to application manager with a click on application status. And found what I thought I would find.....no changes because it's too early in this testing group/cycle. But I am glad to have access once again! Thanks for all the tips!

My application was eaten by the dog, but I'm in the October-December group anyway. I figure when until his board starts lighting up with messages from folks in my group, saying that they've heard something, I won't get too excited -- for myself, anyway. Very excited for the rest of you, though! It's good to see some movement. ETA: fixed. I'm guessing it's a lot like the bar exam, where you think you did pretty well, then you start second-guessing yourself, and then you are almost certain you flunked and would do it all differently if you could, and then you just stop thinking about it until you get the results. Exactly how I feel/felt coming out of the WD et al. - WTH was that? How The Fark did I do? What should I have done differently.... and oh, yay, I get to wait about 4 months to get any 'feedback' - in the form of passish/fail. Very bar exam.

Sallyseeker, this is just the beginning. Concentrate on positive things in your life and be thankful. There are so many things we take for granted.

Well, I'm leaving in the morning for D.C. Testing Monday and interviewing Tuesday. I've changed my avatar to reflect how I'm feeling. I'm sure what hair I have left will be gray by the end of the day Tuesday. I will report back on testing stats! Thanks everyone for the info and support!

I'll bet the proctors are by now accustomed to delaying the start of the test while a Board member or two stand up to get the count.
