Heck, I think the proctors just hand the sign-in sheet to them -- it's faster and more accurate.

no, actually easy to check cause the sign in sheet is numbered. when you sign in, you can easily see how many people are signed up for same day. Although funny Gary!

Great to know Christina, I will be sure to check. Interested to know how many "older folks" like myself are testing! It is a lot more difficult to prep for this stuff when you are past a certain age! Looking forward to happy hour at the Embassy Suites on Tuesday!

Does anyone know where to find a list of all ALJ jobs by city; hopefully with open positions and current judges listed? Thanks.

Looking forward to happy hour at the Embassy Suites on Tuesday! I was 62 when I took the WD and logic test. I found that my zillion years of experience was an asset in passing the exams. I did not prep for them. I still got hired. Everyone should just try to relax. It really is not very helpful to be stressing about what you're going to wear and all the rest of these details. All of the things that people are beating to death here are really not so important. Bring a conservative interview suit, get a lot of sleep and have a cheerful, flexible attitude. Take whatever comes as best you can. Then concentrate on other things until the scores arrive.

I am in Miami and plan on passing on interviews in all cities that are not in South Florida. I got lucky with a high score, so I am gambling that I can land on a cert in this area. I have heard a lot of jobs may be coming due for Florida. Thanks. You aren't going to find that list. It doesn't exist.

Just checked in after coming home from dinner, and finally, a pragmatic bit of wisdom. Take it to heart. Pix.

I agree completely. Sleep is very important, as are a good set of shooting or noise suppressing headphones (no really, they do help). Good luck all.

I agree completely. I was 61 when I took the test, and though I have not been hired, I felt good about my score and am hopeful I have a good chance. I did not get through the WD the first time, but this time I relaxed, prepared, and focused. Sleep is very important, as are a good set of shooting or noise suppressing headphones (no really, they do help). ALJ is one of those jobs where they actually value experience and don't worship youth. I feel like I have a good 10 years left in me to contribute to the legal profession, and I am hoping to get the chance to end my career with a bang. Good luck all. I am a person who can't stand earplugs or headphones - I find the sounds of my own breathing and heartbeat disarming. I didn't use ear plugs for the bar exam either, despite the fact that they were recommended. Nevertheless, in the first few minutes of one of the exams (generalizing to avoid breaching the CA), I found the guy in the first row's keyboarding to be distracting - it was like he was trying to hammer a nail into the keyboard with each stroke. I tuned it out fairly quickly...but if you're a person who works best without extraneous noise, you might want to take alexandersdad's advice about headphones to heart.

True dat...or perhaps with no pulse and not breathing the only sound I would hear is the choir of angels as I go toward the light...

Those are no angels. Turn back! Those are past ALJ applicants calling you to their demise! Stay the course.

Even life tenure ends when the pulse and breathing stop. Just sayin'.
