As the winner of the last poll ( well I won the poll, but didn't get an offer), I'm always up for a challenge. I predict the new cert will go out on May 1st at 10:00 am.

Hey Lawdog! Do you really want to honor the guy who wrote, "The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers." (Henry VI, Part II, Act IV, Scene II) Sure! I am sure you know that the quote is taken out of context by many as killing the lawyers was an act to create anarchy. ;D So Bill must have felt we contributed to a just and orderly society. But that is just speculation on my part. I know that Henry VI is not the only play to make less than flattering comments about lawyers. I suppose this is getting off topic. |

Of course you're correct. But I'm not sure I really like his indirect compliment that as a lawyer I am valuable to an orderly society; and to prove it let's see how bad things get by killing them all.

My guesses:

Let's work backwards.
The training for this group will begin August 4. So, they'll report to their duty stations on July 21. Offers for this last group were made the Thursday 6 weeks out from the start date. So, my guess is:
Offers come on Thursday, June 5 starting at 1:00 pm.
Contacts for Interviews come on April 30 (3:00 pm) for interviews beginning on May 12 (2 weeks of interviews).

I just got my e-mail. 11:14 am EDT on April 25th. So who is the big winner. Good question! I did not post any Rules for the poll. If one takes the person/people closest in time, then Privateattorney and I win, as we predicted Friday, April 25, 2008, at 10:00 a.m., EDT. But, if we assume that Privateattorney and I missed the prediction, then Counsel wins, because Counsel has the next closest prediction without "missing" the timeframe. I must recuse myself. You all decide! Congrats to those on the new Certificate. I think that includes me, but I cannot open the attachments to the SSA ALJ Inquiry e-mail that I received this morning. I hope that does not portend ill!!!! |

Bump. See first post on this thread for the cumulative predictions. The winner will be the person/s whose prediction/s is/are closest to the day and time of the first offer without exceeding the day and time of the first offer.
